Your career is of the utmost importance in creating your best life and so it is also best supported by a qualified professional.  I created Career Joi knowing that my extensive background in this field could support so many others in living their dreams and capturing suitable jobs for right livelihood. Employment and career counselling became a passion of mine early on in my career. And in fact, even as a young child, I loved asking other kids, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I was endlessly fascinated in asking this question; of course at that age, other kids just thought I was strange!  Years later this passion translated into fulfilling jobs and a long-term career.

Here are my credentials:

• Over 15 years background in the career consulting and human resources field

• Working with several hundred individuals in Canada and from overseas.

• Operated human resources consulting business that has trained executive, managers, and employees since 1999.

• Taught educational seminars in Fortune 500 companies as an Educator for Shepell fgi (a national employee assistance provider).

• Overseas work experience in Britain and Switzerland.

• Experience training people in self-marketing for employment from the beginning of their job search through to being happily employed.

• Experience training managers and supervisors in hiring and interviewing techniques.

• Career coaching for all levels and industries (business, sales, retail, medical, science, computers, human resources, communications, service industries, etc).

• Career coach and instructor for MBA class at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia; achieved a 95% internship placement rate.

• A Commerce Degree from the University of British Columbia with a major in Human Resources Management. Previous completion of CHRP.
